We help tech and gaming companies, as well as non-governmental funds, get industry-specific benefits when expanding into new markets. Our service covers everything from legal and tax analysis to business setup, document prep, and full support throughout the process. We make sure you get the most out of your move, handling all the details so you can focus on growth.

Benefits can be of a monetary or non-monetary nature

For example, the UK, Ireland and France offer tax credits for game developers at a certain percentage, and in the US and New Zealand it is possible to receive an annual reimbursement of 20% of the costs of developing new games under certain conditions. Non-monetary benefits include the creation of convenient conditions for creating digital products and doing business in this industry. For example, GameDev Center at Astana Hub teaches 3D modeling and helps build gamedev startups for free; the Abu Dhabi Gaming Hub with Unity Technologies are focused on developing collaborations between developers, artists, investors and publishers, as well as collaborating with leading UAE universities for training.

Who might need it

1
Tech teams and gaming companies expanding into new markets

If you are launching a project in a new jurisdiction and want to build an optimal tax burden and/or establish relationships with the local community and funds.

2
Non-governmental funds that intend to create a preferential industry-specific climate in a new jurisdiction

We offer to conduct a study of the industry and preferential regimes around the world, select the best practices and derive an ideal formula that will become competitive among existing benefits in the world.

What we can do for you:

  1. Legal assessment. We will conduct a study of the selected jurisdictions to determine in which of them you can receive industry-specific benefits and what benefits there may be. The research will be conducted in relation to your business model and growth plans.
  2. Tax analysis. Depending on the chosen jurisdiction and benefits, we will conduct a tax analysis: what effect will your choice have on business tax optimization. For example, if part of your team works abroad, will this condition prevent you from receiving the benefit or reduce its effect?
  3. Incorporation of a business in the chosen jurisdiction. If you do not yet have a company in the jurisdiction in which you want to receive benefits, we will help you choose the optimal form of doing business, support the company formation and opening of a bank account or payment system.
  4. Documents preparation. We will audit the documents and prepare all the necessary documents to submit for the procedure. For example, to receive benefits under IP Boxing in the UAE, Cyprus or Kazakhstan, it is necessary to prepare documents on the company’s qualified expenses for R&D of digital products and documents confirming proper employment of qualified employees in the jurisdiction.
  5. Supporting the process of obtaining benefits. We will fully support the process of obtaining benefits and undertake the necessary communication with funds and/or government regulators.

Examples of our selected experience:

Amendments to IT legislation in Kazakhstan

We identified issues with the OECD nexus approach in IT tax legislation. After discussions with OECD experts and public discussions in Kazakhstan, we proposed amendments. Our initiative led to changes in IT legislation, aligning Kazakhstani IT benefits with OECD principles, ensuring legal certainty for Astana Hub residents.

Compared legal frameworks for crypto business

We conducted a comprehensive analysis in terms of licenses, the legal status of crypto assets, taxes, intellectual property, and salary payment options between the UAE, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malta, Cyprus and El Salvador for the future NFT marketplace.

Researching a best location for video game museum

Our team prepared a comparison analysis in terms of intellectual property between the UAE and Saudi Arabia to choose the best place for a private video game museum.
